MANILA, Philippines – Quezon City Police District (QCPD) officers arrested two individuals in a buy-bust operation, seizing drugs worth nearly P400,000, authorities announced Saturday.
The QCPD Drug Enforcement Unit, coordinating with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, apprehended suspects Jet Sarda, 27; and Agnes Ramirez, 34, in Pascual Subdivision, Barangay Baesa, Quezon City on Friday noon.
Article continues after this advertisementOfficers confiscated from the suspects 58 grams of shabu (crystal meth) valued at P394,000, along with some cash, a coin purse and a cellphone.

The two suspects are now facing charges for violations of the Dangerous Drugs Act before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office.
“The arrest of these suspects involved in illegal drugs is clear proof that the QCPD is committed to eradicating illegal drugs in Quezon City. Our citizens can rest assured that we will not stop and will continue to intensify our campaign against illegal drugs,” Acting QCPD Director Melecio Buslig Jr. said.
